2013 Fulbright Student Program

The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Embassy of the United States of America are pleased to announce the

2013 FULBRIGHT STUDENT PROGRAM

This program is designed to provide opportunities for Azerbaijani youth to continue their education via master’s degree studies in U.S. universities. Fellowships are awarded competitively to candidates who best demonstrate a commitment to service in public and/or private sectors.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Azerbaijani citizenship
  • University degree (with academic excellence - at least 4 points in the 5-point grading system or equivalent)
  • English language proficiency (minimum 80 IBT TOEFL score)
  • Under 35 years of age
  • Availability of military service certificate, or proof of military service deferment for actual inductees.   

FIELDS OF STUDY: Fulbright program calls for applications from all fieldsof study.

Applications must be submitted online. Candidates can access the online application at https://apply.embark.com/student/fulbright/international .

In addition to the online application, the applicant is required to submit one hard copy of the following documents to the US Embassy by August 23th, 2012.

  1. Completed application form
  2. Personal Statement and Field of Study essays
  3. 3 Letters of Recommendation
  4. Standardized Test scores (if available by the time of application submission; otherwise selected candidates will be required to take the official TOEFL, GRE/GMAT tests in fall of 2012)
  5. Curriculum vitae

Note: Copies of diplomas and transcripts with notarized English translations are not included into the application package. Only shortlisted candidates will be required to submit them for the second stage of the selection process. 

Deadline for submission of applications is August 23th, 2012.
