704 gifted children in Baku make early entry into first grade

The process of application and interview continue

Baku. Gulnar Bashirova – APA. 704 of the children who attended interviews held for early admission of gifted children into first grade have been admitted into schools.

The Baku City Education Department (BCED) told APA that 529 children failed to pass the interview, and another 47 who had registered didn’t attend the interview.

The department also reported that applicants who fail the interview cannot register again. 3,012 children have already registered and are waiting for the interview.

Note that, the interviews for early admission of gifted children into first grade started in August. In line with the education minister’s order on “rules of early admission of gifted children into first grade”, the process of admission into schools that are located in Baku and subordinated to the BCED is being done with an online application.

Reception of applications will last till August 20, while the process of interview will last till September 10.
