AIESEC in Azerbaijan Represented at 63rd AIESEC Int'l Congress

On the 15th August, AIESEC in Azerbaijan was represented at the 63rd AIESEC International Congress alongside, 600 Youth leaders from 110 countries taking place in Moscow, Russian Federation.

The conference lasted over 10 days. The country delegation was composed by Tatiana Sanin, Nurana Bashirzade, Vit Fratric and Afshan Andullayeva, members of the Executive Board of AIESEC Azerbaijan.  
 
Thanks to the financial aid provided by the Ministry of Youth and Sport these representatives of AIESEC in Azerbaijan were able to attend the international conference. 

Being part of this delegation allowed the opportunity for these youth, to interact with leaders from 110 countries of the world.  In addition, these delegates were able to attend trainings delivered by senior management from AIESEC’s global partners such as DHL, EF, Tata Consultancy Service, Vale, HULT Colleges, PWC and several other notable companies. 

The Opening Ceremony of the Congress was followed by a Cultural Festival – an event attended by over 20.000 people. This was a platform for countries to expose their culture through traditional costumes, foods, promotional materials etc. The Azeri delegates were able represent the Azerbaijani culture to the utmost and spark an interest Azerbaijan as a viable destination largely thanks to AMOR, Organization of Azerbaijani Youth in Russia. 

One of the important learning points for the Azerbaijan delegates was the Good Case Practices sharing during the entire duration of the conference. They were able to get a different perspective on how to implement projects and run AIESEC in Azerbaijan’s operations efficiently to enable them to create a positive impact in society. In addition, the congress was an ideal place to build strong relationships among countries, make partnerships and innovate.

The global network of  young leaders across the world and multinational companies that partner with AIESEC have provided the delegates of AIESEC in Azerbaijan with new knowledge and experience that will help them to go further in developing the potential of youth in Azerbaijan.
