Azerbaijani President receives first deputy chairman of Jordan`s Upper House of Parliament

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received first deputy chairman of Jordan`s Upper House of Parliament Abdel Raouf al-Rawabdeh and his accompanying delegation today.
Abdel Raouf al-Rawabdeh expressed satisfaction with his visit to Azerbaijan and meeting with President Ilham Aliyev. He stressed the Azerbaijani President was successfully continuing the policy of national leader Heydar Aliyev, adding that Jordan keeps a close eye on economic development of Azerbaijan.
Abdel Raouf al-Rawabdeh congratulated the Head of State on Azerbaijan`s election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
President Ilham Aliyev praised the Azerbaijan-Jordan relations, saying they were developing. The Head of State underlined the successful cooperation between the two countries within international organizations.
President Ilham Aliyev noted Azerbaijan and Jordan had excellent political relations, and pointed out to the existence of good potential for expansion of economic and interparliamentary ties.
