Azerbaijan to open embassy in Kabul by late 2014

Azerbaijan will open an embassy in Kabul, capital of Afghanistan by late 2014, Afghan Foreign Minister Zarar Ahmad Osmani who is on a visit to Baku, told Trend.

The minister said that during his visit to Baku he had discussions with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov on this issue.

"It was promised that Azerbaijan will open its embassy in Kabul, capital of Afghanistan by late 2014," Osmani said.

Afghanistan will also send a new ambassador to Azerbaijan, according to Afghan foreign minister.

"Afghanistan's ambassador to Azerbaijan was changed; he was appointed to the post of minister and therefore was recalled. There is no doubt that we will send a new ambassador to Azerbaijan," Osmani said.
